There are a lot of suits for you to unlock in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. One outfit for Miles, the Best There Is suit, is a direct reference to one very popular X-Men character, the Adamantium claw-wielding Wolverine.
But how can you unlock this suit to wear while you’re swinging around New York City? If you want to earn this X-Men and Spider-Man cross-over costume, you’ll have to earn it.
Here’s how you can unlock the Best There Is suit while playing Spider-Man 2.
How to unlock the Best There Is suit in Spider-Man 2
In order to get the Best There Is suit, you need to do the following:
- Reach level 52
- Gather 105 tech parts and seven city tokens
- Craft the suit
Most of the suits that you can equip in Spider-Man 2 are unlocked by leveling up. This can be done by completing story missions and side missions with either Miles or Peter. Both Spider-Men level up together as you complete missions.
To get the Best There Is suit, you first have to reach level 52. Once you reach the required level, you’ll be able to craft the suit from the status menu. The Best There Is suit requires 105 tech parts and seven city tokens to craft.
You can also craft alternate colors for it by spending an additional 45 tech parts and two rare tokens after unlocking it.
It will take a while to level up, which may require you to finish multiple story missions to gather enough experience. You’ll gain more experience points from missions later in the game, when you can open up more side missions and tougher story missions. But eventually, you’ll be able to open up the option to craft the suit and its variants.
What do you get with the Best There Is suit in Spider-Man 2?
Unfortunately, there are no additional abilities or modifications that come with this special spider suit. All the costumes in Spider-Man 2 are cosmetic, and offer no additional perks.
If you’re a big Marvel Comics fan, however, the Best There Is suit is a big nod to multiple versions of Wolverine from the X-Men. The variant styles of it are similar to the costume designs for Wolverine’s suit, with one that has the color scheme from Miles’ own spider suit. The other variants are the color schemes from the original Wolverine outfit, the black X-Force outfit, and the Astonishing X-Men outfit.
The Best There Is suit is also a direct reference to the Marvel What If series of comics. In the story it’s from, Miles Morales takes up the mantle of Wolverine, rather than being Spider-Man.
