Schedule

The tournament takes place later today, officially getting underway at 3pm CT. There’s no official time for when the tournament will end, but it will conclude once a team has won.

Streamers

Eight teams made up of three players are participating in the Code Red tournament. Each team is comprised of notable Twitch streamers, like DrDisrespect, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, and Jaryd “Summit1G” Lazar. Ninja is playing on the same team that won the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends tournament earlier in the week.

Format

Each team will compete in a double-elimination bracket for the most squad kills in a public match. Kills are recorded over a stretch of three games, and whoever has the most after the series will move on in the bracket. If a tiebreaker is necessary, a fourth map will be played. Teams gain one point for kills and eight points for winning maps.

In the grand finals of the tournament, the top team in the losers bracket will have to win two matches to be the champion. The team coming to the grand finals from the winners bracket will only need to win one match.

Prize Pool

In total, there’s $20,000 up for grabs in this tournament. The team that finishes first will earn $12,000, with second place receiving $5,000 and third place getting $3,000.
