There are a few ways to fix the problem.

If you happen to jump into an Apex Legends match and things seem a whole lot slower paced than they usually are, you might have the slow movement bug that’s recently been in the game. It’s unknown if a particular action causes the bug, so don’t be surprised if it randomly happens to you. While it makes winning a game of Apex much harder, there is a way to fix the bug.

Even though the exact cause of the bug is unknown, players seem to experience it more often after being revived by a teammate. To fix this bug, the player will have to be downed and then revived again. Unfortunately, this means you’ll have to find a way to down yourself in the game. While it’s easiest for an enemy to do this, you can self-inflict damage in multiple ways.

If you’re playing as Lifeline, you can call in your care package ultimate and stand under it. When the package lands, it will deal damage. Or, if you have a grenade or other utility, you can throw them at your feet to inflict damage.

Once you’ve been downed, a teammate will have to revive you to fix the slow movement bug. If you’ve been revived and the bug still persists, you’ll have to take it one step further and fully kill your character. Once eliminated, have your teammate bring you back into the game at a respawn beacon. At this point, the bug should no longer affect your movement. While it’s inconvenient to fix, this is the only method that works until Respawn Entertainment can patch the slow movement bug.
