Fortnite: Battle Royale developer Epic Games has revealed the third teaser image of season eight today on Twitter.
“Awaken beasts of fire and ash battle it out and loot the stash,” the message reads. The fiery image shows a tiger on its left over what seems to be a rocky mountain.

This new riddle matches the previous two teaser images that Epic revealed on Sunday and Monday, but this is the first time there is a direct reference to fire in it. The first one was about treasures and loot, showing a hook in the image as a clear reference to pirates. It also said that an “X marks the spot,” which drove a few players crazy while searching for the “X.”
The second riddle mentions that “something shimmers within the cave” and uses the image of a snake-like creature. This was the first time Epic used a monster in one of its season eight teasers.
Guessing what this all means with this third teaser is still difficult. Epic went from caves, loot, and pirates to a tiger and fire in this new teaser.
We know that preseason teaser images may be related to the upcoming season’s Battle Pass, which will most likely include several new cosmetic items. These teaser images might be showing off themes of some of the new skins coming in season eight.
Fortnite season eight is set to begin on Thursday, Feb. 28.
