The Steam Deck is a portable device that gives you mobile access to many of your games from your Steam library. Given that the Steam Deck has hardware restrictions, not all Steam games are optimized to play on the mobile platform. If you are trying to play Enshrouded on the go, here’s what you need to know.

Is Enshrouded Steam Deck Verified?

Currently it doesn’t appear that Enshrouded will have official Steam Deck support. On the game’s Steam page, the Steam Deck support information remains “Unverified” for Enshrouded, meaning it likely will not be available upon release. Luckily for players on the handheld console, just because a game lacks Valve’s “Verified” stamp of approval, doesn’t mean it won’t run on the Steam Deck.

Steam’s Verified system simply means a game has undergone Valve testing and has met a level of playability for the hardware. Several factors are taken into account for games to pass the test, including text and UI size, as well as software and controller support.

Does Enshrouded run on Steam Deck?

Enshrouded does fit the system requirements to be Steam Deck compatible. And in our experience, Enshrouded will run on Steam Deck fairly smoothly, with minimal bugs or glitches. We played for several hours in our first playthrough and experienced no crashes whatsoever—all good signs for fans of the Valve device.

Steam is currently the only platform where you can find the upcoming open-world game, though there may be plans to release the game later in the year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
