Many fans of Astro’s Playroom wanted more, and Sony is giving us exactly that. Astro Bot is a full AAA premium-priced game. It features multiple themed levels, hidden collectibles, and Astro Bots costumed after known PlayStation franchises, like Kratos from God of War. Like Astro’s Playroom, the game has power-ups that utilize different aspects of the PS5 DualSense controller. We’re finally getting another game that uses the touchpad.

Astro Bot is scheduled to launch on Sept. 6, 2024, so you don’t have much longer to wait. According to the PS Store page, Astro Bot releases at midnight local time, following the trend of other PlayStation exclusives.

This means players in New Zealand get access to the game first, and if you can’t wait to jump into Astro Bot, you can use the New Zealand trick to start playing a little earlier. However, the trick requires you to have an account based in New Zealand or create a new one.

Below, we’ve set our countdown to 12am CT on Sept. 6 so you can keep track of how much time is left until release. Remember, if you’re based outside the CT time zone, the game will become available at midnight in your region, and not when the countdown ends.
