Reservations for the 2024 Pokémon World Championships pop-up store have gone live, and as expected, no one can book a reservation.

By clicking on the Pokémon Center link, trainers can reserve a space in the pop-up store in Honolulu, Hawaii, anytime from Aug 14 to 18 to get exclusive merchandise that won’t be available anywhere else. Or, at least, you should, if the site wasn’t being overflooded with visitors.

Upon entering the website and trying to book a slot, fans are overwhelmed with slow load times, Captcha errors, or a host of errors that lead them nowhere. It’s frustrating considering the limited access to the venue and that anyone, may you be a pro player attending or just a humble spectator, needs to sign up for a slot, or else you can’t get in at all.

Those unable to get a slot and plan to travel to Honolulu won’t get access to the Pokémon Center. On the plus side, the pop-up store is available for anyone to enter regardless if you have a ticket, so locals or people in the area can sign up for the chance to get in and snag some exclusive merch, including an exclusive Pikachu plush toy that was revealed at NAIC in June.

I am still waiting for the site to fix itself so I can book my slot in the store while writing this article, so here’s hoping it gets fixed soon so I and everyone reading this can snag some cool merch next month—if you are lucky enough to be going to Honolulu in the first place.
