“We had an amazing run and we wish you nothing but the best in the future,” CLG wrote in the announcement Tweet. Alongside the tweet, CLG released a farewell video, featuring CLG staff and AD carry Trevor “Stixxay” Hayes extending their goodbyes to Darshan.

Following the announcement of his departure from CLG, Darshan posted a tweet declaring his free agency. In addition to saying he was available to play in any region as a top lane, Darshan said he was open to playing in any role or even coaching.

Darshan first joined CLG prior to the start of the 2015 NA LCS Spring Split. During Darshan’s time on CLG, the team won two LCS titles, and made the 2016 MSI finals, which still stands as the best international performance of any North American team.

Darshan’s departure from CLG all but confirms the report of 1907 Fenerbahçe top laner Kim “Ruin” Hyeong-min joining CLG. Currently still contracted to 1907 Fenerbahçe, Ruin has not commented on the report.

Ruin and 1907 Fenerbahçe were recently knocked out of the 2019 MSI play-in group stage. Following their recent MSI exit, 1907 Fenerbahçe parted ways with jungler Thomas “Kirei” Yuen, who has since joined Misfits Academy.

CLG has yet to comment on the reported acquisition of Ruin.
