Fall Guys characters are now part of Fortnite thanks to one of the recent Epic Games collaborations. Considering Epic acquired Fall Guys‘ developers in 2021, it was about time Fortnite fans received a bean-sized gift.
The Fortnite patch v30.30 added the loveable Fall Guys beans to the game. There is a different Fall Guys character for each skin, similar to the LEGO Fortnite styles. So, how do you find them and play as a bean in certain game modes?
How to play as a Fall Guys bean in Fortnite
To play Fortnite characters in Fall Guys form, you need to create a custom creative island. You can do this by following the steps below:
- Select Creative game mode and hit Play.
- Go to your Teleport Console and select Create New Island.
- Choose any of the Fall Guys templates and hit Confirm.
- Publish your island and copy the code when it comes up.
- Enter the map code you just created, and you’ll see what your locker looks like as Fall Guys characters.
Alternatively, if you find a Fall Guys creative map or know a map code, you can input it immediately to check out your locker without needing to make your map. Fall Guys maps in Fortnite are expected to become more widely available in August, allowing players to compete in various terrains.
How do Fall Guys skins work in Fortnite
Fall Guys skins are additional styles for existing cosmetics in Fortnite. Think of them as LEGO Fortnite skins: If you own the base version of a skin, you also have access to its Fall Guys and LEGO variants. These versions only work and are visible in their respective game modes.
When you want to acquire a certain Fall Guys skin in Fortnite, you need to buy its base version for the battle royale. Players with gigantic skin libraries are likely to have hundreds of Fall Guys skins to go through. Fortnite leakers, like Shiina, already datamined the available Fall Guys beans in the game, and the list is extensive. During the collaboration, we may also see the skins with the best Fall Guys ports rotate around the in-game shop, giving players a chance to purchase them.
At the time of writing, if a Fortnite skin doesn’t have a dedicated Fall Guys version, you load it into the map as a default bean. Given the number of available skins in Fortnite, not all are lucky enough to be included in this collaboration.
