With the arrival of Pokémon Go‘s Adventure Week 2024, you can work through several activities throughout the event. There are two Collection Challenges to complete during Adventure Week 2024, one of which is the Dig It Collection Challenge.
Like other Collection Challenges, the primary focus of this activity is to seek out specific Pokémon while you play. These Pokémon are featured in the event, making them significantly easier to track down. However, you might encounter some difficulty when attempting to find them. We can help narrow your search while playing Pokémon Go to ensure you complete the Dig It Collection Challenge before Adventure Week 2024 ends on Aug. 12.
All Dig It Collection Challenge Pokémon and rewards in Pokémon Go
Similar to the Ancient Discoveries Collection Challenge, there are five Pokémon you need to track down to complete the Dig It Collection Challenge. Three will appear in the wild, while the others require you to evolve their base Pokémon forms into their final evolution. The ones in the wild should be straightforward, especially because one of them is Diglett, a relatively common Pokémon. You’ll need to evolve Diglett into Dugtrio, and because it’s a Pokémon that’s been around since the mobile game launched, plenty of players should have enough candy to make it happen.
These are the Pokémon you need to catch to complete the Dig It Collection Challenge in Pokémon Go. They are not featured in the Adventure Week 2024 Timed Research, but other ancient Pokémon have the chance to appear there, outside of hatching eggs.
Pokémon | Collection Methods |
---|---|
Diglett | Catch in the wild |
Dugtrio | Evolve Diglett |
Drilbur | Catch in the wild |
Excadrill | Evolve from Drilbur |
Dunsparce | Catch in the wild |
This should be easier than the Ancient Discoveries Collection Challenge. Diglett has been around for several years, ensuring everyone has enough candy to evolve a Diglett into a Dugtrio. Although Drilbur might be tougher, it does appear as a wild encounter throughout the Adventure Week 2024 event, making it the perfect opportunity for players to add this Pokémon to their collection. Some might not have enough candy, but encountering it enough times should make it easier. Dunsparce also appears in the wild.
After you complete the Dig It Collection Challenge in Pokémon Go, you’ll receive 2,500 Stardust, 25 Mega Aerodactyl energy, and a Lileep encounter.
