Speed’s editor slipz posted a screenshot of Speed’s YouTube channel dashboard in reply to a post showing the channel’s dominance, pointing out a sense of irony in the way that YouTube is currently treating the account. Although Speed himself has not directly addressed the ban, on an alternate account on X, he stated that he’s “recharging.”

On Aug. 3, IShowSpeed steamed a stunt where he jumped over his own Ronaldo-wrapped Lamborghini and followed it up with a McLaren. In edited clips, the footage comes with a disclaimer warning viewers not to try the stunt out on their own, but YouTube apparently did not enjoy the video’s presence on the site either way.

The stunt itself is a follow up to a video he posted in July where he jumped over his speeding Lamborghini. On X, @IShowSpeedHQ said Speed has appealed the ban and intends to keep fans updated as the situation changes. Fans have pointed out confusion over the fact that the stream was already age-restricted on YouTube, but Watkins still received a ban for his stunt. This is not Speed’s first ban on YouTube, and because his account is so popular, it’s likely that he’s monitored more frequently.

Footage of the stunt shows police vehicles in the background, which might imply Watkins went through all necessary procedures to ensure he had permission for these antics. Because the ban is YouTube’s decision, whether Speed broke the law might not be their focus. Still, fans have continued pointing out that other creators like Dr Disrespect partake in worse behavior and don’t encounter the same problems, highlighting a potential double standard. YouTube has yet to address the matter.
