Rogues in Diablo 4 likely have Skyhunter at the top of their list when creating the ideal build. We can tell you exactly how to farm for this drop.
Skyhunter is favored very strongly by Diablo 4 players because it guarantees the first direct damage you deal to an enemy is a Critical Strike. On top of that, consuming Precision when casting a skill results in 20 to 60 percent increased Critical Strike Damage and gives you 30 to 60 energy.
It’s clear to see why any Rogue wants Skyhunter in their arsenal in Diablo 4, so we’ve outlined the steps you need to take to get it.
Where to get Skyhunter in Diablo 4
Like other Uniques in Diablo 4, the Skyhunter is not a guaranteed drop, and occurs randomly through RNG. There are some approaches to boost the odds in your favor, however.
The best way to farm Skyhunter is to defeat Lord Zir and Echo of Varshan. Both endgame bosses have Skyhunter included in their loot tables, providing an increased chance you’ll see the desired item drop.
After reaching World Tier 3, Skyhunter can also drop after you defeat enemies and open chests. To maximize the number of Unique drops, focus on Gathering Legions, World Bosses, Helltides, and Nightmare Dungeons. The drop is also available on World Tier 4.
There are two ideal farming methods for Skyhunter. The first is to complete Legion Events and World Bosses to earn Exquisite Blood, which you need to summon Lord Zir. Legion Events and World Bosses are on a set schedule, though, so they aren’t always available.
Alternatively, focus on farming the Echo of Varshan. You need Malignant Hearts for both, which you earn by opening Cache Rewards from completing the Tree of Whispers, or by defeating the Grotesque Debtor in the Whispers of the Dead quests. This approach is the best choice, as these activities are always available.
