As if the hype ahead of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2‘s launch wasn’t already high enough, developer Saber Interactive has unveiled the roadmap for this year and next. The game’s future is packed with free content, including new missions, modes, and plenty of Xenos to purge in the Emperor’s name.

Season 1 content

For those still catching up with news from the Imperium, Space Marine 2 chronicles the merciless crusade of Ultramarines Space Marine Lieutenant Titus. Things kick off for our favorite Space Marine with a free season one update, arriving in September, bringing the Battle Barge Sparring Arena, private PvE lobbies, and ultra-wide support. Those with a Season Pass can expect a steady stream of content and cosmetics inspired by different Space Marine chapters.

Season two is set to deploy in October, marking the beginning of an extended campaign that will continue its relentless march until the end of 2024. The second season delivers a brand-new Operations map, and a new weapon will be added to the arsenal, offering more ways to obliterate enemies of the Imperium. For the more experienced and battle-hardened Space Marines, it will include a tougher enemy and more challenging difficulty level, among plenty of other enhancements. Season Pass holders can also look forward to exclusive Dark Angels-themed cosmetics, including color schemes, heraldry, a weapon skin, and a unique full armor set for the Bulwark class.

Season 3 content

The next major update for Space Marine 2, season three, is slated for release in 2025, and it promises to be packed with significant additions. According to the roadmap released by Saber Interactive, season three will include additional PvE missions, a new PvP game mode, and PvE prestige ranks, all at no extra cost. Season three is set to bring a ton of action, including a new enemy to face in PvE, more PvP arenas to dominate, and a comprehensive expansion to your Battle Barge. For those with a Season Pass, there will be a fresh batch of cosmetic items inspired by legendary Space Marine chapters.

Season 4 content

Saber’s roadmap wraps up with the arrival of season four, introducing an exciting Horde mode, a new enemy, and a new weapon. Season Pass content for season four will include items similar to those in season three. This final update promises to keep the action intense and the challenges fresh, rounding out the year with exciting additions to the game.

Ultramarines Lieutenant Titus returns as bloodthirsty as ever in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, ready to face the Tyranid swarm and whatever other Xenos forces dare to hinder him on his campaign for glory for the Imperium. Arriving 13 long years after the original, players can finally retribute swift justice to the Emperor’s enemies.
