Spotlight Hours are popular weekly events that last for a single hour every Tuesday without fail. During these events, Niantic spawns a specific Pokémon for the entire hour and offers exclusive bonuses for those who participate.

The Spotlight Hours are a great way to catch and evolve certain Pokémon that are usually rare or hard to find, and if you’re lucky, you might even come across a shiny version of that Pokémon—as long as it’s available in-game.

Spotlight Hours take place from 6pm to 7pm local time in Pokémon Go on the above-listed days. They always happen on Tuesday. Every Pokémon this month can be Shiny, like in August 2024.

Wooloo is making its shiny debut in September alongside Galar Pokémon for the first time in the Max Out season. While it won’t have boosted shiny odds of Sept. 3, the number of spawns can at least increase your chances of finding the black sheep.

Skovet and other Galar Pokémon should spawn the hours outside of the event, so there is plenty to do in September to pass the time while waiting for Tuesday evening.
