Wooloo was introduced in the Galar region in Pokémon Sword and Shield, and while it doesn’t stand out as one of the best Pokémon available, it’s certainly not a baa-d one to have in your collection.

If you want to know how to catch Wooloo or whether it can be Shiny, we’ve got the answers.

Wooloo is a wild spawn in Pokémon Go and shouldn’t be too difficult to find in the overworld, as it is one of the Pokémon spawning more regularly during the Max Out season. To increase your chances, use Incense at a Pokéstop or visit a large town or city, as they always have more spawns.

The adorable sheep Pokémon isn’t restricted to the wild, however, and there are other ways to obtain it. During the Max Out season, complete Field Research Tasks to earn additional encounters with Wooloo.

A new event-themed Collection Challenge will also debut during the Max Out season, with additional Wooloo encounters earned when you complete the Galar-themed Collection Challenges.

Can Wooloo be Shiny in Pokémon Go?

Yes, Wooloo can be Shiny in Pokémon Go. Wooloo is one of two Shiny debuts during the Max Out season announced so far alongside Skwovet—both of which are Pokémon that have already moved to Pokémon Go.

Shiny debuts in Pokémon Go are almost always separated from standard debuts in the game, which is the case for Wooloo—which debuted in August 2021 as part of the Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield event.

No special items are required to evolve Wooloo in Pokémon Go, though you need to collect the appropriate amount of Wooloo Candy. This shouldn’t be too difficult, particularly as Wooloo only has one Pokémon in its evolution chain.

To evolve Wooloo into Dubwool, collect 50 Wooloo Candy. If you find yourself short, use a Pinap Berry when catching a Wooloo to double the amount of Candies received from a successful catch. You can also equip Wooloo as your Partner Pokémon and get walking, though this method takes longer.
