In WoW The War Within, the Calcified Journal has a small chance to drop from the mushroom enemies in the Stagnant Mire in southeastern Hallowfall, around coordinates 61, 61. It can drop from any of the following mobs (via Wowhead):

  • Mirehat Fungalmancer
  • Mirehat Sporemancer
  • Sludgeborn Shambler
  • Cultivated Mireshroom
  • Darkcap Tain

You’ll probably get it while completing world quests in the area, like Spore Ender, which asks you to collect 30 Fragrant Mirespores from the above mobs and kill Darkcap Tain.
