In NBA 2K25 there are many different requirements that you’ll need to meet to maximize your potential on the court, especially when playing in the league in MyPlayer. For prospective dunking phenoms, for example, unlocking every dunking badge and maximum dunk attributes will require you to increase your height.

Dunking is a skill that you’ll need to master if you wish to create some highlight plays, but unfortunately, not everyone is built for the skies. To unlock your true potential as a high-flying superstar, you must hit some specific requirements with your player build—and if you’re looking to build a smaller prospect for your would-be dunker, you might be out of luck.

Here are the true height requirements that you’ll need for all dunk badges and maximum stats in NBA 2K25.

There are four main badges in NBA 2K25 that will increase your ability to dunk, but you must hit a certain height requirement to gain access to Legend-level badges in those specific categories. The main badges for dunking enthusiasts are:

  • Aerial Wizard: Increases ability to finish alley-oops or putback slams.
  • Physical Finisher: Increases ability to finish through contact.
  • Posterizer: Increases the chance to dunk on an opposing player.
  • Rise Up: Increases the chance of dunking or posterizing a defender while in the painted area.

To ensure that you can reach Legend level with these four badges, your MyPlayer will need to be 6’8″ or 6’9″ to have access. At these heights, almost every badge for the Finishing category can be leveled up to Legend level, save for Post-Up Poet and Layup Mixmaster, which has nothing to do with dunking ability.

Additionally, you should be able to reach 99 overall in Standing Dunk and Driving Dunk, giving you access to all signature and classic dunking animations in the game. You will, however, need to experiment a bit to get max Vertical stats to really boost your chance at a poster dunk. This also means that if you choose other positions, you might not be able to max your overall in these categories.
