WoW The War Within season one started Sept. 10, adding a host of new PvE and PvP activities. Among them are four rotating weekly world bosses, the first of which is the Aggregation of Horrors.
In The War Within, the world boss has a chance to drop an epic item on the Champion upgrade track, so it’s worth killing every week, especially toward the beginning of the expansion. Where to find Aggregation of Horrors in WoW The War Within
In WoW The War Within, you can find the Aggregation of Horrors world boss near the coordinates 65, 88, far south of the Ringing Deeps zone. When the world boss is active, you automatically get a World Quest that appears in your quest log directing you to the Aggregation of Horrors’ spawn point.
Before you can fight the Aggregation of Horrors, you first need to escort three Breakers in the vicinity. After finishing all three mini-escort quests, the world boss becomes attackable.
How to beat Aggregation of Horrors in WoW The War Within
To beat the Aggregation of Horrors in WoW The War Within, first things first—you need a raid group. Find a raid by clicking the green eye icon next to the Aggregation of Horrors World Quest in your quest tracker, on the right-hand side of your screen.
Once you’re in a raid and ready to fight the boss, there are a few attacks you need to watch out for:
- Crystal Strike hits the boss’s current target for heavy Shadow damage and applies a DoT, so tanks should use mitigation and taunt swap when necessary to avoid getting more than one stack.
- Voidquake deals Shadow damage to all players within 150 yards. Healers should be ready to top up the raid, and DPS should have personal healing available, like an ability or potion.
- Crystalline Barrage releases jagged shards that hit any players near them when they land. Make sure you don’t get hit by their AoE when they land.
- Dark Awakening turns the jagged shards into Fractured Skardyn that attack players. DPS should focus them down when they spawn.
