Cooking is one of the most fundamental tasks in Disney Dreamlight Valley and Star Path events are generally packed with lots of cooking-related duties to complete. These can be quite tricky to tackle, as is the case with the become a five-star chef quest.

Like most Star Path duties, this one is purposefully vague to challenge you to solve it. It’s not too tough to finish once you know what it’s asking, though, so here’s how to become a five-star chef in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Become a five-star chef in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To complete the become a five-star chef duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to cook a total of 10 five-star entrees. You might expect any five-star dish to work but only those found in the entree category count, which can make this duty a bit tricky.

If you aren’t sure which category the recipe you’re trying to cook falls in, locate the covered meal platter icon at a cooking station or Ancient Cooker. This icon is the entree category and lists all types of this meal you have unlocked. Look for entrees that have five ingredients and five stars under them to cook the correct dishes you need for this task.

You can also view all meals under the Collection tab and navigate to the entrees section. This page lists all entrees, even those you haven’t made yet, so you may need to unlock some new recipes if you don’t have any five-star entrees available. Any five-star entree works for this quest, so you can either cook 10 of the same one or cook a few of various different ones.

Five-star entrees are pretty costly dishes to make since they always require five ingredients. There are lots of different meals you can make, but some of the easier five-star entrees to cook are Bouillabaisse, Greek Pizza, and Ratatouille.

You’ll often come across five-star meals during quests, like the Mysterious Cajun Recipe in A Taste for Literature and all the dishes made in Dreamlight Gastronomy, but these are exclusive quest recipes you can’t cook more of.

For all cooking-related Star Path duties, I prefer to spend Mist at an Ancient Cooker so I can work on other tasks while the meals I need are cooked. You need to have A Rift in Time to access this item and all other Ancient Machines, so if you don’t, you have to cook them the old-fashioned way at any cooking station.

Completing this Dapper Delights Star Path task gets you 10 Lily Pad Tokens. It’s not much, so it’s a good idea to tackle additional duties next to gain more tokens so you can claim the rewards you’re after. Some good tasks to work on next are harvesting fruit from pink trees, bringing an elemental force of nature her favorites, picking berries from the beach, and giving a stargazing wayfinder gifts.
