It’s officially been one year since the release of Lies of P, the Soulslike RPG that puts a dark spin on the classic tale of Pinocchio pitting him against vicious puppets as he tries to uncover the secrets of a dystopian city—and the game’s DLC is one the way

Since its release, fans have been eagerly anticipating how developers Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio continue the story. The developers confirmed last year that DLC was in the works for Lies of P, and game director Jiwon Choi offered fans another update today on how the DLC is coming along. In an open letter posted on X/Twitter, Choi thanked all of the fans for their support and reaffirmed that the teams are still hard at work making both the DLC and a sequel. Choi also thanked his colleagues for all of their work, and reflected on how much time has passed between the game’s release and now. But most excitingly, he closed out the letter by offering up two little teasers for the upcoming content.

The post comes with two YouTube links featuring a new image and a preview for a new song. The song, titled Lisrim, is a somber and twisted piece of music that fits very well with the rest of the game’s excellent soundtrack. The image features the protagonist, P, located in a snowy landscape looking out onto the horizon in front of a lighthouse. There’s still much of the setting design that gave Lies of P it’s distinct vibe, but the seeming change in season makes the prospective DLC setting feel unique in its own right.

Both of these updates only offer a small taste of what the upcoming content for Lies of P, but fans will still be happy to know that Neowiz and Round8 are still just as passionate about the game as they are. The only question that remains is when this DLC content will come out—and if that release is this year, or a little ways down the road.
