Former G2 Esports jungler Jean-Victor “Loulex” Burgevin has joined Cloud9 as both a positional coach and substitute, the team announced earlier today.
As a veteran jungler within the European region, Loulex has played for a variety of high-profile teams, including H2K-Gaming, and more recently, G2. Filling in for Kim “Trick” Gang-yun in week one of the 2017 EU LCS Summer Split, Loulex helped lead G2 in their win against Roccat.
For Cloud9, Loulex’s addition seems to be the result of the team’s disappointing performance four weeks into the 2017 NA LCS Summer Split. Cloud9 is currently fifth in the standings with a record of 4-3, and they’ve struggled to return to their Spring Split form.
Loulex’s veteran knowledge will hopefully help C9’s jungler, Juan “Contractz” Arturo Garcia, better his pathing throughout the map. It is currently unknown if Loulex will get any playing time on Cloud9, however.
Cloud9 look to end week six undefeated as they take on Team Dignitas later today.
