Team EnVyUs is the latest organization to join Rocket League’s competitive scene.
EnVyUs have acquired the Northern Gaming roster of David “Deevo” Morrow, Nicolai “Maestro” Bang, and Remco “remkoe” den Boer, the organization announced on their website. The trio won the season three world championship back in June by beating Mock-It EU in the grand finals 4-3.
The organization plans to add more players to its Rocket League team in the future to compete in the Gfinity Elite Series in July, EnVyUs stated in its post.
“We’re very thankful for the opportunity to expand our organization into Rocket League with the best roster on the planet,” EnVyUs CEO Mike Rufail said in the announcement. “With all of the great things Rocket League brings to esports, we hope our fans are excited to support these guys in their continued success.”
EnVyUs hopes to help the game reach a wider audience, according to its statement. The news follows NBC’s recently announced $100,000 open tournament as part of a partnership between NBC Sports, competitive platform FACEIT, and Rocket League developer Psyonix.
