Over 350 players were invited to participate in the competition, which acts as a World Series for Hearthstone. The event will take place over three days between June 14 and 16, and each day will feature a different layout. Day one will see players participating in seven rounds of Swiss. On day two, players with four or more match wins will play through five more rounds of Swiss and the top eight players will advance to two dual-tournament format groups to play their initial rounds.

All matches at the Masters Tour will be best-of-three series, besides the best-of-five finals. The event will be broadcast on all official Hearthstone Twitch channels. The broadcast team for the event includes Tj “Azumo” Sanders, Dan “Frodan” Chou, Nathan “Admireable” Zamora, and Darroch Brown.

The prize pool for the event is usually $250,000, but thanks to the Hearthstone community enthusiastically purchasing the Masters Bundle from Blizzard, the total prizing for this year will be $500,000.

Players earned the right to compete in this weekend’s event by participating in online qualifiers during March and April. In addition, Hearthstone Grandmasters also receive automatic invites to all Masters Tour events. There will be two more major Master Tour events that take place later this year, one in Asia and one in Europe. Blizzard also said that in 2020, we can expect to see even more Masters Tour events.

If you plan on watching the action this weekend, don’t forget to enable Twitch Drops so you can snag some free packs. You can check out the action on Hearthstone’s official Twitch channel.
