As we grow closer to the start of the 2017 Halo World Championship series, Luminosity Gaming officially has a full team after Dan “Danoxide” Terlizzi left the side in favor of the artists formerly known as Problem Solvers at Team Allegiance.

Joe “TriPPPeY” Taylor, known for being on The MoneyMatches Team at the Fall 2016 Relegation tournament, will join former Evil Geniuses player Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Visal “eL TowN” Mohanan, and Cameron “Victory X” Thorlakson.
In the official press release on Luminosity Gaming’s website, Steve Maida, CEO of Luminosity Gaming, was pleased to have such a strong side to compete in a game that the orgnanization has been a fan of for quite some time, and had the following to say:
“We ventured into Halo as passionate fans of the title from it’s inception in 2001 with Halo:Combat Evolved. It’s amazing to see the game has continued it’s success for the past 16 years! We are excited for the games future as an esport and are happy to support Ninja, VictoryX, El Town, and TriPPPeY.”
Ninja also was happy to bring TriPPPeY on to Luminosity, as he hopes that his side can “make waves together in the Halo scene this year.” On top of that, eL ToWn and Victory X welcomed their new teammate to LG on Twitter.

Known for his clutch play and fast rise into the professional level of Halo, TriPPPey turned some heads during the relegation tournament. Even though TMMT finished last among the four teams, TriPPPey still garnered a positive K/D ratio, and one moment in particular showed he had some pro-level chops. That moment was the second game in a best-of-seven against Allegiance, where his shot led the team to a 50-49 victory.

Plays like these are what caught the attention of eL TowN and the rest of Luminosity Gaming, and his quick rise into the pro player spotlight helped him secure a side that has reached the top level of Halo.
“He was easily one of the best AMs and made relegation,” said eL TowN. “He also went off at relegations, and impressed me. He also, is real easy to get along with and he’s someone I’ve been cool with for quite a bit now.”
In Luminosity’s maiden voyage into the Halo esport, it lost out on the final HCS Fall Pro League Season FInals spot on the last week of play, losing to both EG and OpTic to allow Str8 Rippin to jump ahead. Despite this unfortunate placement, this side still took home a solid 6-8 record, and the addition of Ninja brings a sure shot to back-up a talented duo in eL TowN and Victory X.
The side will be heading to St. Louis to get some precious Halo points, which will be used to help their chances at getting a qualifying spot for the 2017 Halo World Championships.
