Today, it was announced that G2 Esports has made roster changes to their League of Legends team. The bot-lane duo of AD-carry Kim “Emperor” Jin-hyun and support Glenn “Hybrid” Doornenbal are no longer part of G2 and are being replaced by AD-carry Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen and support Alfonso “mithy” Aguirre Rodriguez.
With these changes, G2’s LoL roster is now:
- Top – Mateusz “Kikis” Szkudlarek
- Jungle – Kim “Trick” Kang Yoon
- Mid – Luka “Perkz” Perkovic
- AD-Carry “Zven” Svenningsen
- Support – Alfonso “mithy” Aguirre Rodriguez
This comes after G2 – with an overall record of 15-3 in the Group Stage – won the 2016 European League Championship Series Spring Split against Origen. This qualified them for the 2016 Mid-Season Invitational, where they fell short of expectations and placed fifth, with an overall record of 2-8.
At MSI, Emperor finished with the lowest KDA among all ADC’s at 1.4 and Hybrid ended with the second-lowest KDA among all supports at 2.1.
During the 2016 EU LCS Spring Split on Origen, Zven ended with the seventh best KDA among all ADC’s at 3.9 and mithy ended with the fourth best KDA among all supports at 3.7. During the same split, Emperor and Hybrid finished fifth (4.8) and first (6.2) in their respective categories.
