A legendary-ranked Lúcio emote was added to Overwatch yesterday.
The Lúcio Dance Party emote, which has the Brazilian DJ spilling records, was initially an Overwatch League All-Access Pass exclusive. It was added to Overwatch yesterday, unlockable for 300 Overwatch League credits. A Blizzard customer service agent posted to the Overwatch forum that it shouldn’t have been purchasable, and that it should be updated soon.

“This is actually a known issue,” the customer support agent wrote. “That emote is not intended to be purchasable, as it is an Overwatch League pass exclusive to my knowledge. We’ve already made the devs aware and hopefully will have this resolved soon.”
Some folks have already purchased Overwatch League credits, up to $15 worth, to unlock the emote, only to be disappointed when the emote wasn’t actually unlocked. Other players on Reddit reported they were able to unlock the skin with credits, though.
Dot Esports has reached out to Blizzard for more information. It’s unclear at this time whether players that purchased Overwatch League credits will get refunds, or if those who’ve purchased the emote will have it revoked.
Blizzard revealed the new Lúcio emote on July 14 as an incentive for Overwatch League’s All-Access Pass holders. The All-Access Pass costs $30, meaning that players desperate for the emote shelled out $30 for it. Aside from exclusive cosmetics, Overwatch League’s All-Access Pass offers viewers a “backstage pass” experience, with extra content and more viewing options.
