A second, core series Pokémon RPG is in development for 2019

After introducing Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, and Pokémon Quest, The Pokémon Company announced another title coming to the series.

An unnamed, all-new core Pokémon role-playing game will be released in the second half of 2019, according to a tweet from the official Pokémon account. No other details were announced during the Tokyo press conference on May 29.

Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! were the two expected games from the mysterious press conference, but Nintendo surprised fans with the two other titles. The two Let’s Go games will be available on Nov. 16 on the Nintendo Switch, while Pokémon Quest will be on Switch and smartphones.

The official Pokémon Twitter account also said that a special never-before-seen Pokémon was referenced at the end of the Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! trailer. This could be hinting at the first generation eight Pokémon coming in the 2019 game.

Even though there isn’t a lot of information available about this unnamed Pokémon game at this time, fans of the franchise are undoubtedly excited about the future of the franchise.
