The breach occurred on the morning of Nov. 2, with internal networks, such as email and file servers, experiencing problems because of the infiltrator. The company has since stopped operating some of the affected systems.

Capcom said that “there is no indication that any customer information was breached” at present. Access to official websites and online servers also remain unaffected.

The company is restoring the affected systems and investigating the transgression. It says it’s consulting with police and related authorities and will continuously provide status updates to the public.

The Capcom Pro Tour 2020 Online, meanwhile, is continuing without a hitch heading into November. Three more regional events in China, Australia, and North America West will determine 19 out of 20 contenders for Capcom Cup 2020, with the last slot belonging to a voted fan-favorite. The premier Street Fighter event is set for the first quarter of 2021, though no specific dates have been committed to just yet.
