Rarest Gibraltar skins in Apex Legends

The legend has gotten more rare skins in 2019 and 2020.

Since Apex Legends’ launch in 2019, Respawn Entertainment added tons of skins for each and every character. Some were available for a limited time during seasonal and collection events, while others were only obtainable through the battle passes. Gibraltar is no exception, and he has plenty of unique and rare skins to back up his battlefield prowess.

While every legend is released with plenty of always-available skins, they also have a variety of unique skins that can only be unlocked for a limited time or that appear rarely in the store. Some skins were also only given to Prime Gaming or PlayStation Plus subscribers. Though they might not be the flashiest, those are often the rarest skins in the game.

Here are the rarest Gibraltar skins in Apex.

Call to Arms

Call to Arms was available during the Iron Crown collection event in season two, making it one of Gibraltar’s earliest event skins. Iron Crown also featured Solos as its limited-time mode, so players partaking in the event could easily have been accosted by a solo Gibraltar sporting this dramatic, bird-themed skin.

It’s been almost three years since Iron Crown and the only other way to get this skin is through a random store rotation, making Call to Arms one of the rarest skins out there. Released in 2019, it returned three times since (in 2019, 2022, and 2023).

Gibraltron

While it might seem like Legendary skins are the rarest in the game, that’s not always the case. As we’ve seen, sometimes Rare-tier skins beat out Legendaries simply because of their unusual method of delivery or small window of availability. Gibraltron is one of only two Legendary skins on this list for that reason.

Available during the System Override collection event during season four, this skin turns Gibby into a futuristic mecha-soldier with bold colors and detailed armor. It returned to the shop in 2021 and 2022. If you thought other Gibraltar skins were intimidating, just wait until you see this one chasing you across the heights of Storm Point.

Born in Blood

This is one of Gibraltar’s most badass skins, transforming him into a true agent of chaos. It features a very unique feel, with significant changes on his chest and haircut.

It’s expensive, though, because it’s part of bundles that can be bought using Apex Coins. It was first introduced in 2020. It also requires the Monster Mashed skin, which is fortunately sold in the same bundle. It only returned once since, in 2021’s bundle.

Deep Blue

Deep Blue, formerly known as Greatness Awaits, was given as a gift to PlayStation Plus subscribers during Apex’s preseason. What it doesn’t have in flash and style, it makes up for in rarity. To see this skin now, you’d have to come across a Gibraltar who’s been playing since the preseason and was a PlayStation Plus subscriber at the time. That’s an exceedingly rare combination now that we’re three years past the game’s release.

Tribal Instinct

If you know about Prime Gaming, you might already be familiar with Tribal Instinct. This rare skin was given out to Prime Gaming subscribers in June 2020 for season five. Like Deep Blue, it’s not one of Gibraltar’s flashiest skins, but it’s also one you won’t see a lot of players wearing. As of season 13, these skins haven’t become available again in any way, shape, or form, so Tribal Instinct will likely continue to be rare.

Arctic Plate is another skin that was given out to PlayStation Plus subscribers, this time during season five. It keeps the blue-and-white motifs of Deep Blue but arranges them in a different way, giving the warm Gibraltar an icy twist. While not quite as rare as Deep Blue, it’s still unusual to see someone sporting Arctic Plate on the battlefield.
