Dignitas announced the signing of Bob? on the eve of their bid to become one of Europe’s representatives at the BlizzCon World Championship in November.

“When searching for an organization, we were very focused on finding a team that would be able to support us with our goal to become one of the top teams in the world, and that truly cared about us as players,” team captain James “Bakery” Baker said. “We are confident now that there is no organization that could do better than Team Dignitas.”

The new Dignitas team put together an impressive resume during qualifying for the regional championship, placing second behind Team Liquid in the August Open and following it up with a third place finish at the September event earlier this month. Most recently they took the Enter the Storm 3 title, a $10,000 major that established them as possibly Europe’s best team. They look like a top contender to earn one of two BlizzCon invites available at this weekend’s event at the O2 Arena in Prague.

The team features three English players, Warrior player Lawrence “Atheroangel” Harper, flex Josh “Snitch” Bennett, and Baker, giving the organization with English roots a bit of a hometown squad. Rounding out the roster is Polish assassin specialist Adrian “adrd” Wojcik and Slovenian Matic “zarmony” Mikec at flex.

The team will hope to continue a string of solid play this weekend in Prague where they’ll try to survive a tough group featuring Team Liquid, Natus Vincere, and Pirates in Pyjamas. Dignitas certainly looks like a favorite to advance to the playoffs and likely earn one of two available BlizzCon invites, but they’ll open the event against Team Liquid, sometimes considered Europe’s best team. But Bob? beat Team Liquid in two best-of-three series at Enter The Storm, and there’s no reason they can’t do the same as Dignitas, with one of esports’ longest standing organizations at their backs.
