If you’ve been itching to play the new Hearthstone expansion, Curse of Naxxramas, that Blizzard has been hinting at for the last few months, you won’t have to wait much longer. The first wing of the expansion, the Arachnid Quarter, will launch July 22, the company announced today.

Subsequent wings will unlock each week after the next, and while the first one is free, the rest will cost $6.99 each, or 700 gold if you’ve been saving up Hearthstone’s in-game currency.

Once inside, players can pit their best decks against the bosses of each wing. And when the wing is finally conquered, players will unlock critical cards to add to their collection—cards only available to those who beat the expansion.

As a final challenge, players can face off against the Heroic mode versions of each boss, and net themselves a unique card back if they win.

The release of Curse of Naxxramas marks Hearthstone’s first expansion, and first infusion of new cards to the game. Blizzard hopes that the new cards will help smooth out the current metagame and bring new strategies with them. And with the game’s competitive scene starting to heat up, rest assured that each card will be scrutinized for potential breakout decks.

Only time will tell whether or not these new cards can make it on the pro circuit, but with teams like Team SoloMid and Cloud9 joining the Hearthstone fray, it’s clear that everybody is on the lookout for an edge.
