Kenneth “Kenny” Williams has announced his departure from Team Kaliber, the 2018 Call of Duty World League Championship runners-up, saying it’s “time for me to look at other options.”

Kenny was unarguably one of the top players on the planet in WWII, capturing three event titles in 10 months on Team Kaliber. The last championship came in Stage Two of the CWL Pro League when tK became the first team to win an event since the formation of Rise Nation’s new roster.

The 2017-2018 WWII season was Kenny’s first as a part of the Call of Duty World League after waiting several years to turn 18 and become eligible for CWL-sanctioned events. He didn’t let his opportunity go to waste, and he was quickly recognized as one of the most-skilled and most-influential players on any team.

His importance to the team may not have been any more obvious than at the CWL Championship earlier this month. In tK’s second-place tournament finish, Kenny showed off his unyielding confidence and playmaking ability, which was nearly enough for Team Kaliber, who lost in two grand finals series to Evil Geniuses.

Now with his free agent status, Kenny will almost certainly be fielding offers from the the biggest teams in Call of Duty. Immortals CEO Noah Whinston commented on Kenny’s CWL Champs performance, saying Kenny was “winning me over.”

100 Thieves founder and former Call of Duty pro Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag may be one of Kenny’s suitors as well, with Nadeshot making it clear 100 Thieves would be returning to CoD for the 2018-2019 season on Black Ops 4.
