We officially have a date.

The MMO genre is quickly becoming congested. And while Lost Ark was previously only expected to be available in Asia and Russia, Amazon Games is bringing the action-focused RPG to the West.

Originally released exclusively in Korea in 2018, the game has since been beta-tested in Russia as it looks to expand its breadth to other regions.

Though the game’s foray into North America and Europe appeared uncertain, Summer Game Fest this year unveiled that Amazon Games will be publishing the game for a Western audience.

An exact date for Lost Ark’s release was not originally set, and earlier this year, the game’s developers even announced that they were moving back the release to early 2022. At the time, no exact date was released.

But at The Game Awards last night, Amazon and Smilegate revealed that Lost Ark will make its way to the Western world on Feb. 11.

While the game will be free-to-play, those who wish to purchase a Founder’s Pack, which ranges from $14.99 to $99.99, will get three days of early access and be able to play the game starting Feb. 8

The delayed release of Lost Ark has its launch staggered with that of Amazon’s New World. Both games fall under the MMO genre and they’ll likely have some audience overlap. New World came out earlier this fall. Since the announced delay of Lost Ark, the game has also had some beta testing.
