The release of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty generated a large amount of hype within the Magic: The Gathering community, showcasing two booster fun cards worth over $100. And the hype has continued into 2023.
The Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty (NEO) set taps into a blend of modernity and tradition via a large number of Artifact and Enchantment cards. Revisiting the beloved MTG plane of Kamigawa sees the return of Ninjutsu to Standard, as well as two new planeswalkers. Several booster fun cards from the set are worth over $50, featuring Showcase, foil-etched, Phyrexian, borderless, and extended-art versions.
Prices for the NEO set dipped slightly after the 2022 Standard rotation but saw a revival heading into the 2022 MTG World Championship and the release of The Brothers’ War (BRO). The most popular cards from the set were Fable of the Mirror-Breaker//Reflection of Kiki-Kiki, Boseiju, Who Endures, and the new Magic planeswalker, The Wandering Emperor.
Following the first Pro Tour of the 2022-2023 season, featuring Pioneer Constructed gameplay, several cards like Fable of the Mirror-Breaker//Reflection of Kiki-Kiki and Boseiju, Who Endures rose in value. Heading into the release of March of the Machine (MOM), a majority of NEO cards worth money have maintained their value.
Here are all the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty cards worth money, according to prices from MTGGoldfish, Card Kingdom, and MTGStocks. Prices are subject to change and will get updated following set releases and major tournaments.
The Wandering Emperor
Arguably one of the best cards and planeswalkers in NEO, The Wandering Emperor is a low-cost Mono-White planeswalker with Flash that doesn’t have an ultimate. The Emperor of Kamigawa slots into multiple Standard decks, from Orzhov Control and Midrange to Azorius Control and even Mono-White tempo.

The Wandering Emperor regular version and non-Showcase versions have dropped slightly since fall rotation, despite seeing a boost in value with the release of BRO. The Showcase versions, however, did make up for lost value and have maintained their worth heading into the March of the Machine release.
Boseiju, Who Endures
One of a cycle of five legendary NEO lands, Boseiju, Who Endures had a major impact on multiple Magic formats, from Modern and Pioneer to Standard. The Rare land comes into the battlefield untapped and has the Channel mechanic.

The use of Boseiju, Who Endures at Pro Tour Phyrexia improved the land’s value, with the regular version climbing from $30 to $35. Other variants also saw a similar spike in price.
Fable of the Mirror-Breaker//Reflection of Kiki-Jiki
Potentially one of the most played MTG cards in the Standard format, along with Pioneer and Modern, Fable of the Mirror-Breaker//Reflection of Kiki-Kiki features an upgrade to Enchantment Sagas in Magic. Upon reaching the third chapter, the Saga transforms into an Enchantment creature, with Kiki-Jiki having the ability to copy nonlegendary creatures.

Similar to Boseiju, Who Endures, Mirror-Breaker//Reflection of Kiki-Kiki saw a spike in price following Pro Tour Phyrexia. The regular version rose from $17 to around $22 while the variants held their value.
Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant
Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant is a powerful Mythic Rare 5/5 legendary creature seeing gameplay via Azorius Control in the Standard format and within the Commander format. There are a total of six collector versions of Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant NEO booster fun variants that are worth money.

Prices for Jin-Gitaxias rose slightly after the launch of ONE and after the Pro Tour. But the Praetor may not maintain its value for long considering a potentially better version of Jin-Gitaxias is slated to drop with the MOM set.
Otawara, Soaring City
Otawara, Soaring City is a popular Rare legendary land with the MTG mechanic Channel in the Modern, Pioneer, and Standard formats. Boseiju, Who Endures, and Otawara, Soaring City are the two most popular lands from the NEO cycle.

Farewell
Farewell is a solid wrath spell from the NEO set that is played in Commander, Standard, and Pioneer formats. Following the release of SNC, the wrath spiked in price and has maintained its value since the launch of ONE. The showcase foil-etched version of Farewell is priced at around $17 and the extended foil variant is valued at around $18 to $20. to $25. Farewell’s regular version has slowly risen to around $10.
Junji, the Midnight Sky
Junji, the Midnight Sky is popular within the Commander format and some Standard Mono-Black and Control decks. The dragon saw a spike in value after the release of DMU and another slight price increase after the release of Phyrexia: All Will Be One.

Kodama of the West Tree
Kodama of the West Tree is a legendary spirit creature in the Magic color Green that is seeing gameplay in the MTG Commander and Standard formats. Similar to Junji, the Midnight Sky, the spirit regained value after the release of DMU, which it had lost with the launch of SNC. Leading up to the launch of MOM, the regular version of Kodama of the West Tree has dipped slightly.

Kaito Shizuki
Kaito Shizuki is another new MTG planeswalker within the NEO set who supports Ninjutsu shenanigans across multiple Magic formats. There are four collector versions of Kaito Shizuki, with the borderless alternative foil and showcase foil versions maintaining their value.
