Twitch’s rapid growth and expansion in the past half-decade has seen viewer counts on the Amazon-owned platform skyrocket to the point where numbers that once shattered records now seem barely impressive, even to a streaming writer like me.

For example, Ninja was the talk of the town in 2018. The iconic Fortnite streamer set one viewership record after another during a phase where he teamed up with celebrities like Drake to play the popular battle royale at its peak. At the time, I thought nothing would ever come close to surpassing his records. Now, they’ve been surpassed to the point where they don’t even crack into the top 15, which is insane.

Most of the current all-time peak viewership records belong to game developers and esports organizations. Still, a handful of content creators have managed to pull in some awe-inspiring numbers. They’ve been grinding and pushing the limits with their content, and it has paid off.

Here’s a list of the 15 most viewed Twitch streams of all time ranked in, courtesy of data from TwitchTracker. Please note some streamers appear more than once, indicating they’ve had multiple streams that set records.

Spanish streaming star Ibai sits comfortably at the top of the leaderboard, pulling in a staggering 3.4 million viewers during his ‘La Velada del Año Three’ boxing event on July 2, smashing his previous record of 3.3 million out of the park. I am a massive fan of Ibai and love what he’s doing for the industry.

Hot on Ibai’s heels is another Spanish streaming sensation, TheGrefg, who hit under 2.5 million viewers while unveiling his fresh Fortnite skin. Together, Ibai and TheGrefg hold the top five all-time peak viewership records and also happen to be among the highest paid twitch streamers too.
