Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev is the second player on Gambit’s roster to be put on the transfer list in the past month. He joins Abay “HObbit” Khassenov and Denis “seized” Kostin on the inactives roster, where they’ll be awaiting buyouts from prospective organizations.

Last month, Gambit became open to the idea of negotiating a buyout for HObbit. He and the organization came to a mutual agreement that both parties would be better off parting ways, Gambit said in an announcement on Twitter at the time.

When AdreN officially leaves Gambit, it’ll be the first time that he’ll be separated from his long-time teammates Mikhail “Dosia” Stolyarov and Rustem “mou” Telepov. It’ll also end his three-year tenure with the Gambit organization.

This news follows a lackluster year for Gambit, who have had relatively little success since their Valve Major win in July 2017 at PGL Krakow. Their last notable placement in recent months was top four at ESL One New York, where they upset and eliminated CIS rival Natus Vincere. Despite having decent placements throughout 2018 with Dosia as in-game leader and Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodenskiy as coach, Gambit’s placements proved that they’re still in dire need of changes to reach the top again.
Gambit is expected to announce its new CS:GO roster in the near future, likely before the team’s next event, SuperNova Malta, in late November.
