While Fortnite: Battle Royale has changed a lot in the year since its release, Epic Games may be hinting at something being brought back.
At the conclusion of yesterday’s Summer Skirmish tournament, a remix of the game’s original menu music played to close out the broadcast. This sparked a discussion among fans about whether the music will be added back into the game in the near future.
In the Reddit thread that focused on the remix’s presence, most of the comments reflected excitement. While a user did point out that there’s a good chance most of the people that want the music back didn’t play when it was originally featured, some responded that they wanted it because it reminded them of the first time they tried out the game.

It should be noted, however, that the song being played on the Summer Skirmish stream may not mean anything. Epic likely owns the rights to the song and can remix and use it however they please, which may result in instances like this.
The game’s current menu music is already iconic—it was even featured in a rap song. But if this means something more, or possibly a return in season six, fans are obviously going to be eager to see something old become a staple in the game again. Some of the game’s most popular skins from 2017 have since returned for new players to experience, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that the same could be done with the menu music.
