Fortnite originally released last year on July 24. The game’s Battle Royale mode wasn’t added until a few months later in September, but the birthday remains the same, and so Battle Royale will help celebrate it along with the PvE mode.

Starting on July 24, new in-game challenges will be available. Completing all three of the challenges will reward players with special cosmetics, including a special birthday cake back bling to wear in-game.

The challenges include playing 14 matches, deal 1,000 damage to your opponents, and dance in front of 10 different birthday cakes that will pop up throughout the map. No confirmation of pizza, or soda at this point. But no birthday party is complete without a loot bag. Once all challenges are completed, you earn the birthday cake back bling, as well as an emote and a spray.

Completing the Fortnite Birthday questline in Save the World will earn you the Birthday Brigade Ramirez Hero, and you can also earn tickets to spent on Birthday Llamas that contain heroes and weapons from every event already this year.

It’s been a pretty insane first year for Fortnite, which has racked up 125 million players and taken the gaming world and mainstream by storm. It’s unclear if Epic will do anything to celebrate Battle Royale’s birthday in September, but for now, the back bling will have to do. Happy birthday, Fortnite! We didn’t get you a present.
