Arcane, the Emmy-nominated animated series based on League of Legends, was a smash hit in its first season, prompting Netflix and Riot Games to renew the show for a second season. But when will season two come out?

While the precise Arcane Season 2 release date hasn’t yet been given, Riot Games did confirm last year that it aimed for November 2024. Recently, some social media accounts have supposedly “leaked” the show’s release date, claiming it would drop on Nov. 2, though this remains in the realm of speculation. A new trailer for the show also dropped but hasn’t yet given us a clear day and release time for the new season of the series.

The first season of Arcane was initially slated to debut in 2020 but was pushed back due to constraints surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. As soon as Arcane’s first season wrapped up on Nov. 20, 2021, a second season of the show was announced. Additionally, it was confirmed the follow-up is already in production.

With the second season’s workflow expected to be far more stable at both Riot and Fortiche Production, the animation studio behind Arcane, it seems like it took half the time to create season two compared to the first. Many fans likely hope we’ll get an official Arcane season two release date soon.

A couple of new trailers for the season also implied that Jinx would be elevated to a much higher role, supposedly serving as a symbol of a revolution in Zaun. The “War” and “Rubicon” labels, given to the season by its co-creators, also became more clear, with Ambessa Medrada preparing for all-out warfare, Caitlyn sporting a mighty Hextech Rifle, and the world of Runeterra getting ready for mayhem.

The most recent trailer, released by Netflix on Sept. 5, amplifies Jinx’s role in the battle against the top side and shows us how far the conflicted sides have gone.

Is there a trailer for Arcane season two?

A new trailer, dubbed the official Arcane season 2 trailer by Netflix, was released on Sept. 5. The two-minute showcase gave us more information on the conflict between Piltover and Zaun, Jinx’s leading role against the “top side,” as well as lots of action scenes and sequences with blood and explosions going off everywhere. Familiar faces make a return in the trailer, with Vi, Jinx, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Caitlyn and others featuring briefly in various scenes.

Has any Arcane content been released since the end of season one?

If you’re looking for more Arcane content to absorb in the downtime between season one and season two, you can look to the making-of docuseries released earlier this year titled Arcane: Bridging the Rift. The series takes an in-depth look at the show’s creation process and how the League creative team took their game and transformed it for television.

The five-part series was released on YouTube in 2022 and is available for free. Unlike the original Arcane series, you don’t need a Netflix subscription to watch Bridging the Rift.

We will update this article as more information is released. Right now, this is everything we know about Arcane season two.
