On the EU side of things, Team Kinguin, Airstation Mike, and Avangar survived the gauntlet to earn their spots at Katowice.

For NA, the honors belong to big-name esports organizations in OpTic Gaming, Cloud9, and Noble Esports. The South American team to qualify was Kaos Latin Gamers.

It all kicked off last weekend with 512 teams each in EU and NA, whittling down to just eight teams making their way to a close qualifier this past weekend. Eight other teams from each region were invited, leading to a Sunday showdown of 32 teams vying for the top six spots (three from NA, three from EU) to make it to next month’s big tournament.

These teams will join up with the invited teams already confirmed for the event, including FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, Ghost Gaming, Method, TSM, and Tempo Storm. Three teams are left to receive an invite to round out the 16 to play in Katowice.

The $50,000 invitational is 2018’s first large-scale LAN for PUBG. It’s set to take place on Feb. 24 and 25 in Katowice, Poland.
