Eight players from the four western regions will compete to decide the final two spots in the Teamfight Tactics Dragonlands Championship.
The eight players will face off in a single lobby to play a series of six matches. Each match awards points distributed to players according to their rankings. Each first-place scores eight points, each second scores seven, and so on until the two players with the most points at the end of the sixth rounds move on to the TFT Dragonlands Championship.
The Last Chance Qualifier entrants are the best duos that failed to qualify for the TFT Dragonlands Championship from each regional final, so there are a lot of high-profile players.
From the North America region, Team Liquid’s Alex “Kurumx” Tompkins and Kevin “Prestivent” Zou are in attendance. Representing Brazil are the players Lucas “eusouolucas” Damaso and Luis Gustavo “Toddy” Hüttl. From the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, players Fabian “Salvyyy” Reichmann of Team Vitality and Mohamed “Briks” Achraf Brik are looking to qualify. Latin America is represented by players “TexSummers” and “JosueDeleted”
TFT Dragonlands Western Last Chance Qualifier standings
So far, Bricks has a strong lead in first place while second place is up for grabs between JosueDeleted and Prestivevent.
Round one
Kuru won with a solid composition using Graves as his main carry with the Canonner trait activated and a great frontline with Zac and Pantheon. Prestivent managed to make a big comeback from eighth to third with a very similar composition.
Round two
Round two saw BES Toddy manage to secure eight points with a Dragon composition with lots of five cost units to support. His Ao Shin did plenty of damage while Terra did the main frontline comp and overcame JosueDeleted and his vertical Jade comp with Whisper and Sy’fen as the main carry, which was first in the lobby until the final rounds.
Round three
Round three began with Bricks opening the game with a signature Lagoon, but it didn’t take long for him to change his comp. He found a Daeja early and got two items to copy a unit. Shimmerscales were necessary support for the comp economy, and their Guardians formed a winning mid-game frontline as they acquired the most expensive level and units to close their legendary pool. Securing second place, JosueDeleted found success in Kai’sa’s reroll composition with many three-star units in the final rounds thanks to the extra gold awarded by the Shimmerscale feature.
Round four
Bricks failed to maintain his consistency when attempting a Darkflight comp in the fourth round. But BES Toddy achieved his second victory, taking him to second place in the tournament. BES Toddy used a Lagoon composition with Sohm as a main carry with the item combo to crit all abilities, Infinity Edge, Jeweled Gauntlet, and Blue Buff. Meanwhile, Lucas made an incredible comeback after finishing last with only six life points left. The composition that brought him to second place was Dragons, with the Augment Dragon Soul to make a team with six Dragons. Soraka was the main carry, and the frontline was formed by Idas and Terra.
Round five
A loss in round four did not stop Bricks from winning again in the next round. Kai’sa Dragonmancer’s composition appeared again, now piloted by Bricks to win first place. The Shimmerscale Goldmancer’s Staff item was a big component of his victory. Lucas again used a Dragons comp to reach the top four, this time without the Augment, proving that it is not necessary for the comp to work. Many defensive items helped his Idas and Terra frontlines as Aurelion Sol bought time to blow up the board.
Round six
The final round of the tournament showcased the power of Xayah’s compositions, with both players in the final fight utilizing it. TexSummers, who maintained humble and consistent results throughout all rounds, dominated round six with Xayah’s most powerful comp in the lobby. While Bricks failed to finish well in the final round, his great performance during the other rounds secured him a spot in the finals along with TexSummers.
TFT Dragonlands Western Last Chance Qualifier winners
TFT Dragonlands Western Last Chance had great games with a lot of strong comps. Many players used Dragons to try to secure the top spots while others formed off-meta comps to try to secure a less contested top four.
The Lagoon and Shimmerscale characteristics were very present, demonstrating a lot of power in Shimerscale items for the comps that could equip them in good units.
Briks and TexSummers were the two winners to secure their spots to the TFT Dragonlands Championship.
