The BLAST Premier Fall Final will be held at Royal Arena and is the first S-tier CS:GO tournament post-IEM Rio Major, which took place in November as well. This gives an opportunity to Natus Vincere, OG, Team Liquid, FaZe Clan, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and G2 Esports to redeem themselves for their recent performances.

Out of these six teams, G2 are the one that desperately need to play well at the BLAST Premier Fall Final. Sure, FaZe Clan and NiP are right there as well after their early exits from the IEM Rio Major, but G2 top the list because they didn’t even qualify for Rio. The international squad featuring NiKo and m0NESY were eliminated at the hands of huge underdog GamerLegion at the Europe Regional Major Ranking (RMR) and had to watch the first Brazilian Major from their homes.

G2 as an organization made some interesting moves after its Major qualification failure. It parted ways with head coach XTQZZZ after less than one year and replaced general manager Jérôme “NiaK” Sudries with Petar “peca” Marković, who previously worked with Valiance, CR4ZY, and FunPlus Phoenix.

Will these managerial changes be enough to fix the problems of the CS:GO team? The BLAST Premier Fall Final will give fans a glimpse of this and other storylines—and this article is perfect for you to follow it all.

BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022: Nov. 27, grand final

Heroic wins first S-tier event an cadiaN gets better of karrigan

The Danish squad got to lift the trophy after their first S-Tier event win, triumphing in a close-fought affair that went to three maps and overtime on the decider. Though FaZe’s stars took turns to carry the team, it wasn’t quite enough in a grand final that lasted late into the night.

Ultimately, this result vindicated Heroic’s decision to leave Mirage open instead of Nuke for the decider map. Once again, karrigan’s side was let down by their play on the map in a critical situation despite their strong showings on Mirage earlier in the tournament, in a defeat reminiscent of their shock loss to Bad News Eagles at the Rio Major.

Historic: Heroic and FaZe to face each other in grand finals for the first time

Heroic and FaZe have never played each other in a CS:GO grand finals before, but that will finally happen tomorrow on the last day of BLAST Premier Fall Final. Heroic moved past Liquid 2-1 in the first semifinal of the day, while FaZe held on and survived a Ninjas in Pyjamas scare.

The team led by karrigan lost on Overpass and barely survived on Nuke as NiP had the chance to close the series in regulation. FaZe beat them in overtime and smashed the Ninjas on Mirage to book their grand finals spot versus Heroic.

Heroic vs. G2: cadiaN shows why he is the best hype man in CS:GO

CadiaN is one of the most unique players in Counter-Strike. The Danish in-game leader showed all his emotions after he and stavn won a two-vs-two clutch against G2 toward the end of Vertigo, the third map of the series. Heroic only lost one more round after that and eliminated G2 from the BLAST Premier Fall Final to move to the semifinals.

FaZe vs. Heroic: Karrigan’s men dismantle the Danes

FaZe have shown numerous improvements at BLAST Premier Fall Final so far after their vexatory run at IEM Rio Major. They’re winning important gun duels again and seem confident in their skill. FaZe defeated Heroic 16-14 on Ancient and steamrolled them on Inferno (16-5). Broky was the MVP of the series with 47 frags, which is better than all maps he played at the Major.

NiP vs. OG: Degster’s team become first casualty of the tournament

OG were eliminated at the hands of NiP following losses on Ancient (22-19) and Vertigo (16-10). The AWPer degster and the rifler Shahar “flameZ” Shushan tried their best, but NiP’s tactics were too much for them to handle alongside the firepower of hampus, es3tag, and REZ. The loss means OG were sent home without winning a single map at the BLAST Premier Fall Final after they were 2-0’d by FaZe Clan.

G2 vs. Liquid: EliGE and crew send G2 to lower bracket

G2 suffered their fourth loss in a row since October, this time at the hands of Liquid. The North Americans dominated G2 on Vertigo (16-10) and narrowly won Mirage (16-14) thanks to the mistakes G2 made on the map despite NiKo and m0NESY finishing with a positive K/D on Mirage. G2 will be out of the tournament if they lose to Fluxo.

NAVI vs. Fluxo: s1mple’s ace clutch helps NAVI turn Dust II around

The Ukrainian superstar killed all five of Fluxo’s players in round 23 of Dust II when the Brazilian underdogs were ahead 12-10. S1mple’s highlight on the A bombsite was enough to damage Fluxo’s economy for the rest of the game and steal the momentum for NAVI, who ended up running away with a 16-14 victory.
