The December update of Disney Dreamlight Valley surprised players with an abundance of extra content on top of the new Toy Story Realm and characters.
Many of the additions made in this update were very small ones like finally adding socks, a day/night toggle that allows players to view the valley from whichever time they prefer, and some new resources like Coffee Beans.

This new ingredient is located under the fruit category. Coffee Beans are not available around the valley nor in Remy’s pantry of goods, which means that like most other ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley, so too do Coffee Beans ask players to put in some work to officially unlock them.
How to unlock Coffee Beans in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To unlock Coffee Beans, players will first need to recruit the titular blue alien from Lilo & Stitch. The process of attaining Stitch in Disney Dreamlight Valley takes quite a few days, so players will want to begin recruiting him as soon as possible to gain access to Coffee Beans.
Once Stitch has been unlocked, a few other prerequisites must also be met before players will be able to attain Coffee Beans.
- Players must recruit Remy from the Ratatouille Realm.
- Players need to recruit Wall-E from the Wall-E Ream.
- Players must unlock the Glade of Trust biome.
- Players need to reach level four friendship with Stitch.
- Players must find a coffee cup near Wall-E’s garden. This location starts in the Peaceful Meadow, but if players have moved it elsewhere, then they’ll instead need to visit the garden in that biome to find the coffee cup.
Some players have reported issues getting the coffee cup to spawn even with all of the prerequisites met. If you are experiencing this issue, you’ll want to try deleting the furniture around Wall-E’s garden or moving it entirely and then entering and exiting a house or restarting your game to see if it then appears there.
Once all the prerequisites have been met, the “Very Sleepy Stitch” quest will begin, which is how players will then attain Coffee Beans.
How to complete the “Very Sleepy Stitch” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once players have picked up the coffee cup, they’ll then need to bring it to Wall-E. Players will then determine that the messy garden and coffee cup were probably the work of Stitch, so they’ll need to locate him next.
Stitch will confess that he has been very tired and wants some coffee, thus officially starting players down the path to attaining Coffee Beans.
Coffee Beans being tied to Stitch makes sense as a reference to the iconic scene from Lilo & Stitch where Lilo brings Stitch home for the first time. The tiny blue alien is given a bottle of coffee Lilo prepared for him and proceeds to drink a lot of it.
Stitch then goes wild around the room before eventually constructing a fake town out of books and various objects. He then rampages across town and Lilo says “No more caffeine for you!”
The tiny blue alien will ask players to help him nurse his coffee plant back to health, which means that players will need to take the plant to Wall-E before then gathering the required materials to help revive the plant. Players will need to gather:
- 25 Pebbles
- 25 Clay
- One Sack (15 Fiber and one Soil)
With the required items gathered and the Sack crafted at any crafting station, players will need to head back to Wall-E and talk with him before returning to a crafting station again to fix up the coffee plant.
Lastly, players will need to visit the Glade of Trust biome and plant the coffee before then watering it and waiting for it to grow. The plant should be grown in about 40 minutes, at which point players will want to harvest it and return to Stitch.
Stitch won’t know how to make coffee on his own, so players will want to seek the guidance of Dreamlight Valley’s head chef Remy. Talking to Remy will then allow players to cook the Coffee Beans into Coffee at any cooking station. Giving this Coffee to Stitch will fully complete the quest and render Coffee Beans a permanently attainable asset.
