Dragonflight introduced plenty of new features and updates to World of Warcraft, with overhauls to professions, talents, and Dragonriding being some of the main pivotal features that made their way into the game’s newest expansion.

The expansion also bought with it some pieces of content that were prominent in past WoW expansions, such as the beloved Great Vault, which provides players with weekly pieces of guaranteed loot for their actions in dungeons, raids, and PvP matches. One of the items you’ll most definitely encounter when opening the Great Vault and obtaining the epic pieces found within it is a Resplendent Gemstone. Here’s what to do with the item once it’s in your possession.

Resplendent Gemstone is a quest item for the quest “The Great Vault.” This quest starts and finishes with Therazal in Valdrakken at coordinates [50.2, 56.0]. The quest tasks you with obtaining a piece of loot from the Great Vault. After you obtain loot from the Great Vault, you will get your piece of gear, a Mythic+ keystone, and the mysterious Resplendent Gemstone. Once you’ve got the gemstone, you’ll need to head back to Therazal and turn it in. This quest is only available once, and after you turn in the quest item, it will disappear from your inventory.

To obtain loot from the Great Vault, you’ll need to defeat bosses in the current raid tier, or complete Mythic+ dungeons. You can also get Great Vault gear by earning honor points in rated PvP matches. The more additional content you complete—such as clearing out entire raids or grinding multiple Mythic+ dungeons—you’ll find additional items in your Great Vault.

You must choose carefully, though, as you can only select one item from the Great Vault each week.
