Apex Legends season 16 landed in February 2023 and players had to learn how to get the most out of all the cataclysmic meta-changes that rocked the battle royale landscape when it touched down, including some big game-altering changes like the Support class’ ability to craft respawn banners.

When your teammates die in Apex, you no longer necessarily have to grab their respawn banner from their death box before a timer runs out. In certain situations, you can go and craft them at any Replicator, regardless of how long ago your teammate was finished off.

Things have changed a bit even more in season 17 of Apex, though, and players can now craft respawn banners even more easily. Check out the guide below for everything you need to know about crafting respawn banners.

How do I craft an ally respawn banner in Apex season 17?

To craft an ally banner, you’ll have to head over to a Replicator and use the crafting materials available.

The process is similar to crafting weapons: All you’ll have to do is click on the banners option on the left-hand side of your screen. It’ll cost you 30 crafting materials, and the price doesn’t change.

Who can craft an ally respawn banner in Apex Legends?

In season 16, only Support class characters could craft ally respawn banners. But in season 17, any player who has a Support legend on their team gains the ability to craft a respawn banner. That means if you have one of the following legends in your squad, you’ll have that option:

  • Gibraltar
  • Lifeline
  • Loba
  • Newcastle
  • Mirage

This fundamentally changes how useful the Support class perk is. Since many of the Support characters prior to this change were often the legends who would go down in a fight and couldn’t sneak away, the ability to craft ally banners wasn’t incredibly impactful.

Now, the Support class buffing their entire squad with that ability makes having a Support character in your squad much more viable.
