The second-ever playable installment of Mondstadt’s Windblume Festival has arrived in Genshin Impact’s Version 3.5 update. There is a lot of content for players to delve into during the event, but players might be especially excited about the ability to find their favorite Genshin characters simply hanging around Teyvat.
Outside of quests, the Serenitea Pot, and other special instances, players cannot interact with their favorite characters. Thus, events are always important for players who hope to better understand Teyvat’s wide cast.

The Windblume Festival only previously occurred once back in Version 1.4 of Genshin. It was a small-scale event then, but now, it seems like miHoYo has built it up quite a bit. While not as big or grand as Liyue’s massive Lantern Rite festival, Mondstadt’s special Windblume Festival does seem more packed with content for the Version 3.5 installation of the event.
Following in the footsteps of Liyue’s Lantern Rite festival, Mondstadt’s Windblume Festival has scattered beloved Teyvat characters around the world for players to find. Getting to interact with characters in this manner is fairly rare for Genshin, so players will want to seize the opportunity while they can and enjoy some unique dialogue with their favorite characters.
All character locations in Genshin Impact’s Windblume Festival
After you get through Cyno’s terrible jokes, Sucrose and Collei’s awkward but endearing conversations, and Albedo and Tighnari’s scientific banter during the introductory “A Gathering of Outlanders” quest, you’ll then be able to find some of your favorite characters relaxing around Teyvat. As you progress through the three main quests in this event, the characters will move around or disappear.
All of the characters can be interacted with for some special dialogue, so be sure to chat with them once you visit the locations where they are hanging out.
Windblume’s Breath: Act I character locations
Stormterror’s Lair
- Cyno and Mika
- The five-star Electro Polearm character and the upcoming four-star Cryo Polearm character can be found on the bridge extending from the teleportation point inward to Stormterror’s Lair in Mondstadt. You won’t be able to see them from the teleportation point, so continue walking along the bridge until you find them.
Falcon Coast
- Eula, Collei, and Amber
- The five-star Cryo Claymore character, the four-star Dendro Bow character, and the four-star Pyro Bow character can be found on a small island in Mondstadt’s Falcon Coast region.
Thousand Winds Temple
- Albedo and Tighnari
- The five-star Geo Sword character and the five-star Dendro Bow character are hanging out on a cliff right above the Thousand Winds Temple in Mondstadt.
Sumeru City
- Dehya
- While the five-star Pyro Claymore character is not actually hanging around Mondstadt as players would expect, she is one of the individuals that Cyno called in to help while he is away visiting during the festival in the Anemo region. Dehya can be found in Sumeru but might be missing for players who have used the quick start function, those who have not officially met her yet, or if she is involved in another incomplete quest. If Dehya is present, players will find her by the lampost and tree pictured above on one of the pathways in Sumeru City.
Aaru Village
- Candace
- The four-star Hydro Polearm character is also hanging around as an NPC that players can interact with but is instead found in Aaru Village. Like Dehya, Candace may also be missing for some players who started the Windblume event through the quick start function if they have not yet met her officially or if she is busy in another quest that has not been completed. If Candace is present, players will find her with Setaraia, a minor character that appeared in an Archon quest in Aaru Village. Candace is the other character that Cyno called in to keep watch while he is away.
Windblume’s Breath: Act II character locations
Knights of Favonius Headquarters
- Cyno and Lisa
- Following up on some dialogue that players hear during the second act of the Windblume’s Breath event, players can find the five-star Electro Polearm character Cyno meeting up with his old classmate the four-star Electro Catalyst character Lisa. The duo can be found hanging out in the library that is located inside the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.
Windblume’s Breath: Act III character locations
Angel’s Share
- Venti
- The Anemo Archon can be found hanging around one of his favorite locations, which is the Angel’s Share tavern in Mondstadt. He is sitting just outside to the left of the tavern and is alone at the tables.
By The Cat’s Tail
- Cyno
- The Electro character can be found sitting at a table just outside of another one of Mondstadt’s establishments, which is The Cat’s Tail tavern. This is where players go to play Genius Invokation TCG and buy new cards for their deck. Cyno is outside at a table right near the entrance of the tavern.
Near the Knights of Favonius Headquarters
- Eula, Collei, Sucrose, and Amber
- These four girls can be found near the Knights of Favonius Headquarters in the city of Mondstadt. They are tucked away in a corner which makes them a bit difficult to find, but players should look for a building near a garden area and they can be found in the corner of this area.
On a balcony in Mondstadt
- Albedo
- The Geo Sword character is dining alone on a balcony of a building in Mondstadt. Because he is up on a balcony, he can be a bit tricky to locate, so the best way to find him is to teleport to the Teleportation Waypoint that is located just above the crafting table then look to the right to find the building that he is on the balcony of.
Starfell Lake
- Klee and Mona
- Teleport to the Statue of Seven located at Starfell Lake, Mondstadt. Walk slightly up the small island, which is toward the Statue of Seven, and look across the small pond to find both Mona and Klee right by the water.
Above Dawn Winery
- Tighnari and Mika
- Head to the Statue of Seven right above Dawn Winery in Mondstadt and continue upward until you reach the sharp point of the land on the map. Tighnari and Mika can be found at the very tip of this piece of land looking toward the Wolvendom area.
For each new quest that is unlocked and played during the Windblume festival event, the characters involved in the event will disappear from their previous locations and new ones may appear for the next one. Both Act I and Act III have quite a few characters for players to track down and interact with while Act II only has two.
The third act of the Windblume event is the last one for this installment, which means that players can expect the characters to hang around at the Act III locations until the event comes to an end, as was also the case during the last installment of Liyue’s Lantern Rite festival. Once the event has come to an end, players will not be able to interact with their favorite Teyvat characters as NPCs anymore, which means that all players hoping to learn more about them should do so soon before Windblume comes to an end on March 20.
