In the latest WoW Dragonflight update, players can join the Dragon Isles Winterpelt Furbolg faction. This faction is located in the northern part of the Azure Span, and players will be able to earn reputation with the Winterpelt Furbolg as well as rewards and achievements. Some include exclusive cosmetics and an Elemental Battle Pet.
So, how do you unlock the Winterpelt Furbolg faction?

How to unlock the Winterpelt Furbolg faction
Players interested in unlocking the Winterpelt Furbolg faction must first complete all of the side quests related to the faction. Like most factions, you must earn reputation with the Winterpelt Furbolg faction.
To do this, you’ll need to finish the questlines offered by Sonova Snowden and Garz, as they’re both related to the Winterpelt Furnolg faction. And they can be completed in any order.
Sonova Snowden can be found in Theron’s Watch, and the quests you must complete include “Hollow Up,” “Aggressive Self-Defense,” “Bear With Me,” and “Ice Cave Ya Got There.”
Garz can be found in Camp Nowhere in the southeastern part of Azure Span, and the quests you must complete include “Broken Traditions, Broken Bodies,” “Former Furbolg Family,” “Elemental Influence,” “Rescuing Radza,” and “His Stone Heart.”
You can also gain Winterpelt Furbolg quests from Old Grimtusk, but you’ll need to complete the storylines “Snowhide Camp” and “Grimtusk Hideaway” from the Sojourner of Azure Span.
Once you’ve raised your reputation to “Unfriendly” with the Winterpelt Furbolg faction, you’ll receive mail from Sonova Snowden with “Sonova’s Request,” which unlocks the next set of quests for the Winterpelt Furbolg faction.
Winterpelt Furbolg rewards
To earn Winterpelt Furbolg rewards, you can purchase rewards from the quartermaster at Winterpelt Hollow or gain them through the questlines every 25 language points. This is because you will be learning the Furbolg language, and by completing the quests, you’ll earn reputation and slowly progress to the next reputation level.
The Winterpelt Furbolg reputation rewards include:
- Friendly: Winterpelt Totem- A trinket that summons a Winterpelt Totem for 20 seconds. Party members in range have a high chance of dealing additional nature damage.
- Honored: Reading Glasses- A toy that gives your character glasses for five minutes but causes your screen to go blurry while you’re wearing them.
- Revered: Defender of the Winterpelt- A trinket with a low chance of summoning a Winterpelt Defender to fight by your side for 30 seconds.
- Exalted: Primal Stave of Claw and Fur- Transforms you into a Winterpelt Furbolg for five minutes, with a ten-minute cooldown.
And from the quartermaster, you can purchase Winterpelt Furbolg rewards using your Dragon Isles Supplies. Some of the best items include:
- Honored Reputation Level Required: Renewed Proto-Drake: Stubby Snout- A stubby nose customization option for the Reneweed Proto-Drake
- Revered Reputation Level Required: Pattern: Paw-Made Winterpelt Reagent Bag- A 34-slot reagent bag
- Exalted Reputation Level Required: Drifting- An Elemental Battle Pet.
Winterpelt Furbolg Achievement
Once you’ve reached a language proficiency of 100 in the Winterpelt language, you will be awarded the achievement of Winterpelt Conversationalist. This grants you achievement points and allows you to speak in Furbolg, but it can only be used in normal chat, not chat channels.
So, head to the Azure Span and begin your next faction adventure with the Winterpelt Furbolgs to earn rewards and reputation.
