‘Trust us’: Ceb flames Dota 2 fans questioning Old G’s latest signing

Just look at his track record.

Old G are one step away from making it into the DPC WEU 2023 Tour Two after a string of disappointing performances in the first tour prevented them from qualifying the first time around.

Since then, OG legend N0tail stepped down due to the effect it had on him, along with MSS. The pair were replaced by Resolut1on and Kitrak—the latter of which raised eyebrows due to not being considered as much of a star as the others.

Things have panned out well for them, though. If they beat Betrayed tonight, they’ll qualify for the DPC WEU 2023 Tour Two: Division Two, and even if they lose, they’ll have another chance against the winner of KZ Team and PuckChamp.

Ceb is confident his team will get the job done given how good they’ve looked in the upper bracket so far, including Kitrak, who has proved his worth, and he wants fans to stop questioning his ability to build teams. “When we got Ana and Topson in OG, they got flamed,” he said, referring to the time the duo joined the elite Dota 2 organization before their iconic back-to-back TI victories happened in 2018 and 2019.

“When we made the new OG roster, they got flamed,” he added, referring to when the old guard stood down in 2021 and passed the torch to a new roster, who went on to win ESL One Stockholm 2022 and ESL One Malaysia 2022.

And now Kitrak is being flamed, he reminded Dota fans to keep the faith. “How long is it going to take for people to learn and trust us? Like seriously. It’s so lame.”

Ceb will have the last laugh once again if Old G manage to complete their run in the close qualifiers. It’s still a long way to the top, however. They’ll have to fight through Division Two, and potentially Division One, before having a chance to qualify for The International 2023.

But he has defied odds before, and with the sheer amount of talent and experience on the team, there’s no reason it can’t happen again.

Either way, it’ll be good to see them in the circuit once again.
