Yoo “Ryu” Sang-wook may be joining 100 Thieves’ inaugural NA LCS roster, according to a report by ESPN.
Ryu was previously the mid laner for Phoenix1, one of the legacy NA LCS teams not to make the permanent partnership program. While he managed to earn a third place finish in the NA LCS 2017 Spring Split with Phoenix1 Ryu, feeling burnt out, decided to take part of the following split off to rest.

If this report is true, Ryu will be the first player announced to join 100 Thieves. This news follows 100 Thieves’ announcement appointing Neil “Pr0lly” Hammad as head coach. For Ryu and Pr0lly, this will be the first time the two reunite since the end of 2016, when they were under the H2K Gaming banner.

100 Thieves was one of the four new teams announced as part of the upcoming franchised NA LCS split. The other three new teams include Clutch Gaming, Golden Guardians, and OpTic Gaming.
Expect more roster news relating to 100 Thieves, as well as the other nine NA LCS teams over the coming days as the free agency period has officially begun.
