The storyline of Space Gears unfolds in the 22nd century, casting players in the roles of pioneers and leaders, charged with the monumental task of terraforming Mars. Amidst fierce competition for Martian resources, players will mine, research, and construct powerful mechanized units. The fusion of strategic play and Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) elements results in a dynamic battlefield, poised to captivate players with its engaging narrative and immersive world.

Space Gears uses the Unity 2022 (HDRP) engine to provide stunning visuals for the Martian landscape, bases, and mechs, ensuring the best possible gaming experience. Developed as an original IP, the game aims to appeal to fans of strategic combat, science fiction, and immersive world-building. With upcoming appearances at the global playtest and Steam Next Fest, the 2bytes Corp. team is actively encouraging players to add Space Gears to their wishlist and experience the game during these events.
Space Gears promises intense and gripping conflicts reminiscent of climactic encounters found in classic strategy games. Its diverse roster of mechs features intricately detailed designs, courtesy of a globally-sourced art team. Beyond the battles, players will immerse themselves in terraforming missions, resource acquisition, and base construction on Mars, adding layers of depth to the game’s experience.
The game’s development aligns with Pentapeak Studios’ mission to create genre-defying games, filling a void left by recent Korean game development. Space Gears will be available for global playtesting from June 2 to 5, 2023, and will also feature in the Steam Next Fest in June. Early access on Steam is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.
